Buying electrical appliances, of course you should not forget about your health and our environment! Therefore, we want to inform you about several risks and about legislation regarding pollution control. Here you'll find information about the refrigerant R22, the COP and the new inverter technology.

Refrigerant R22

R22 damages the ozone layer, and from 2010, there will be the following changes:

»	From January 1st, 2010, it is prohibited by law to refill fresh refrigerant R22!
»	Until 2015, it is allowed to refill recycled refrigerant R22 (if available).
»	Tight installations still can be used. The adaptation of an air-conditioning device that works with R22 to refrigerant R417 only is recommendable if the existent installation is in perfect conditions, as such adaptation causes considerable costs and the cooling-heating output may diminish up to 20 %, which means high energy costs and less output.

So why don't buy directly a new appliance with guarantee?

»	In the long term, this is the cheaper option.
»	Modern air-conditioning appliances are more silent, have a COP (Coefficient of Performance) and are more power-saving than 10 years ago, especially devices with inverter technology. Ask for a non-binding estimate.

COP

»	Did you know that an air-conditioning device emits 3 or 4 times more heating energy than absorbed power? Therefore, when used as heating, an air-conditioning device helps to save power.
»	The so called COP is the ratio of the absorbed energy to emitted energy. The higher the COP the cheaper you heat.

What is inverter technology?

Advantages of the inverter technology

»	ENERGY SAVING - by using high-quality components and modern technology, inverter systems consume up to 30% less power than standard devices.
»	ELECTRONIC CLIMATE CONTROL - stable temperatures, improved capacity and economic operation with maximum power savings during the whole year.
»	POWER - MODE - reduces the time to reach a programmed temperature by increasing the output of the device (10 %).
»	SILENT - Due to inverter control, these devices rank among the most silent air-conditioning appliances available on the market.

 

Even though the purchase of a inverter air-conditioning device is more expensive than a standard ON/ OFF device, an inverter appliance, on a long term basis is a good investment due to its low power consumption and other advantages.
